Huerfano  Chapter  Master  Plan

Jonathan led the master plan process and documentation for this 10 acre site situated on the Navajo Nation in Northern New Mexico.

The master plan incorporates a new recreation/multi-purpose building as to be implemented as phase 1 development. The master plan responds to the community’s recreational needs, by introducing a nature trail and jogging course for outdoor activity. For indoor activity, the newly proposed recreation/multi-purpose building will include a full size basketball court, weight room, locker rooms and administrative offices space.

The master plan also incorporates a Senior Center and a Pre-School (Headstart) facility. Story telling programs will be used to reinforce cultural teachings as the elders take time to past the oral history on to the younger generation at the Shade Structure and Heritage Field.
